In the interests of transparency, the award methodology is detailed below:
Nigeria AllEnergies Award’s call for award nominations is announced to the industry between 1 -3 months. Nominations may be submitted either directly by a company, an individual, or from a third party. Self-nomination is allowed. The nomination deadline is announced, the exact date depends on the calendar year.
The nominations received in are reviewed and sorted into their award category. A staff member passes the sorted nominations to the first stage Nigeria AllEnergies Award Jury, consisting of All Energies project team.
The Nigeria AllEnergies project team, independent of each other, reviews the submissions and decides if:
It meets the criteria of the category
it is of being a finalist
A Project Team will contact the Shortlisted Nominee company or individual and ask the nominee to complete the acceptance of Nomination form. If the company or individual fails to provide the required response by the specified date, the nomination will be excluded from award exercise.
The Nigeria AllEnergies Jury grades each submission 1 to 10 (with 10 being the most suitable for the finalist list). The first stage jury, shortlist and passes on the top nominations for each category, unless the total nominations exceed 50, in which case maximum of 10 go on to the second stage. If there are less than five entries all nominations go on to the second stage of judging.
A member of the Jury cannot judge a category in which their organization is a finalist.
The finalist database is sent to the Jury / Advisory council member for each award category they have selected to judge. Judges reserve the right to interview shortlisted nominees and verify their claims if need be.
In each category, the shortlisted finalist with the highest number of votes will be declared winner on the award night. In the event of a tie, all the judges will be asked to choose between the top two tied nominees.
In each case judges will be asked to supply comments and feedback on their choices if need be.
With the identities of the winners being kept a closely-guarded secret until the award gala dinner, it is only on the Nigeria AllEnergies website and through our media partners that the Nigeria AllEnergies Awards will reveal the shortlisted finalists. Winners will NOT be notified prior to the Nigeria AllEnergies Awards gala dinner;
Each winner is expected to accept their award on stage at the awards conferment ceremony.
It should be noted that the Nigeria AllEnergies award gala dinner will be covered by different media organization for necessary news content. By attending the gala dinner, you acknowledge awareness of this statement and release AllEnergies award and its organizers, operators, officers, and duly designated representatives operating in either an official or unofficial capacity free from any associated liability.
